Pastor Rick and his wife Marcia (of 44 years), their two dogs, a cat, and ten chickens come to Durango Faith Community Church of the Nazarene after a lifetime of ministry in various contexts.
Pastor Rick has been in full-time ministry for over 25 years. During his ministry career, he has served as Senior Pastor, Director of Evangelism of a non-profit ministry, and Missionary Chaplain in jails and prisons. He has also served as the chaplain for the Canon City Fire Department in Canon City, CO, and the Colorado State Patrol stationed in Montrose, CO. He has also participated in foreign and local mission trips.
Pastor Rick comes from a very diverse background in the secular work world and church life. Raised in a strong tradition of biblical teaching, holiness of heart and life, and a pastoral ministry heritage, Pastor Rick has been called to proclaim the gospel of Jesus, life in the Spirit, and End-time prophecy.
A hallmark of Pastor Rick and Marcia's life together has been their passion for seeing God's Kingdom grow through the transforming power of Jesus in the lives of believers.
As a firm believer in the power of open dialogue, Pastor Rick enjoys a good conversation over a cup of coffee...especially when the conversation is in deep Bible study! He also enjoys most outdoor activities. Specifically, he enjoys riding his Harley Ultra Classic, hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his family.
